Parc des Buttes Chaumont 19th arrondissment, Paris

Located a brisk 15-20 minute walk away from our apartment is the Parc des Buttes Chaumont. The park was built in the 1860's during Baron Haussmann's famous transformation of the city. It features a lake, mock Roman ruins, and very lush vegetation. It is quite a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. We saw many Parisians (and their dogs) enjoying the beautiful morning with an invigorating jog around the park.
