The
first three pictures were taken by Nick during the train ride out to
Edinburgh. The other pictures are of various views around the city,
including the Royal Mile.
Below are images of and from Edinburgh Castle, which also sits atop
a volcanic crag. The first two photos are of Scottish military personnel
following the Armistice Day Memorial Service. The crown jewels of Scotland
are housed here (sorry, we weren't allowed to take pictures of them).
This is St. Giles
Cathedral, which is located on the Royal Mile. Inside is the beautiful
Thistle Chapel (the first 2 pictures in the row).
This is Calton Hill, which houses various monuments. The hill also
offers a wonderful view of Edinburgh.
