A 40-minute ride on the RER will get you to Versailles. The palace itself is exquisitely ornate, but with surprisingly small beds. The Hall of Mirrors was breathtaking. One of the most memorable parts of Versailles is definitely the gardens. Fortunately, Nick got us lost in the gardens and we wandered around enjoying the beautiful day. We eventually meandered our way through the many acres of garden to the Petit Trianon and the Grand Trianon. On our way out, we happened upon some sheep and horses!
